Happy Thanksgiving from A.H. Dance Company.

We thank you for your tremendous support. Without your support we cannot continue...

An expectant audience waits in darkness as a dancer steps into center stage. She lets in a slow breath, cocks her foot forward and prepares to launch into a carefully crafted phrase of movement. The murmur of the spectators quiets and the lights warm the stage into view. The dancer’s still form comes alive and the hard work of so many becomes vindicated.

A.H. Dance Company exists for those moments, and the people who are part of it live for them. Our mission is to share our passion and dedication for dance with those around us and support those who take part in it. Although passion is what brings us together, it is not always enough.

As we prepare to present our second full-length feature, we at A.H. Dance Company need your help. The company relies on the generosity of private sponsors to continue bringing performance to the community we serve.

Here are some examples of our diverse financial needs:
$10 gives us rehearsal space for one hour
$50 helps us create costumes for dancers
$100-200 pays a dancer’s stipend
$300-400 allows us to prepare a full length performance, including technical needs
$1500 grants us the ability to stage a full length performance over a weekend

News update: We have raised $580 from our recent performance benefit, private donation, and benefit party. We need to raise another $700 to pay for the Cunningham theater space rental in March.

As you can see, modest donations keep A.H. Dance Company going through our developmental phases and larger generosity allows our efforts to culminate on stage.

Please consider helping us with a contribution, no matter how modest. Every penny will be used to help us sustain our season. With your gift, you will join a growing list of supporters who reaffirm their dedication to the arts and earn the sincere appreciation of those with a passion for it.

On behalf of A.H. Dance Company, we would be happy and salute you as a partner in the creation of cutting-edge contemporary dance during this season and beyond. Thank you.

Alaine Handa
Artistic director
A.H. Dance Company

All donations made to The Solo Foundation, Inc. earmarked for A.H.
