Chameleon is heading off to Toronto this summer to perform at the Toronto Fringe Festival.

Young Dancers in Repertory has graciously opened up their space to us for a informal Benefit performance & send off party.

Pre-performance Q+A and mini dance workshop starting at 6!
Performance will start around 7:15 pm
Come early to get a seat! Limited Seating.
Wine, Cheese, Snacks following the performance.

$10-15 Suggested Donation
*All proceeds will go towards transportation, accommodation, and performer stipends for our tour.

Explore modern dance! Every person is a natural dancer. If you can walk, you can dance!

Unleash the Dance explores the ways in which our bodies like to move. using inspirations from poetry, visual arts, music, theatre, photography, fashion and everyday life, we will improvise and make mini-dances for ourselves. This class creates a supportive environment in which self-consciousness will dissolve and the dancer will emerge.

Contemporary Dance culminates in a high-energy dance phrase that utilizes contemporary elements and improvisational techniques. Class begins with stretching and conditioning exercises to find control, balance and ease of movement within the joints. We will then explore traveling steps across the floor to increase our heart rate.

We have a new blog and a new project

A.H. Dance Company teamed up with very talented artists from other arts mediums such as Film, Photography, Theater, Jewelery design and Music to come up with a multi-disciplinary show about Global Nomads.

Our cast of dancers this year is multi-cultural and consists of a blend of Korean, Indonesian, New Zealander, Singaporean, Spanish, American, Filipino, Australian, Belgian, Californian, Washingtonian, and more all rolled into just the five of us! We couldn’t be happier to embrace all these cultures. Not to mention the artists we are collaborating the show with come from a variety of different backgrounds. So its all very exciting!

Alaine Handa has been busy with performing for Stephanie Liapis (former member of Doug Varone & dancers) at the Performance Project last month at Dance New Amsterdam and currently busy rehearsing with Sasha Soreff Dance Theater for Ms. Soreff’s upcoming performance of “The Other Shoe” at Ailey Citigroup Theater.
